Hi, my name is Rychael and my wife is Amber. We have 7 boys and one girl. As part of our dedication for a healthy family we wanted the best for our children, Seven years ago we learned the benefits of grass-fed raw milk. My wife found out about Desert Wind Farms and we started buying delicious, grass-fed, raw milk from them. In June of 2017 my wife and I purchased a home with 15 acres' of flood irrigated grass pastureland. That same month we bought the farm and moved the cows to Idaho Falls. Over the years we have been dedicated to seeking out the best foods for our family and now that we have "bought the farm" we are dedicated to bringing one of those natural whole foods of delicious, grass-fed, raw milk to others. Simple. Farming and raising animals should be simple and as close to their natural environment and diet as possible. We facilitate natural biological cycles and controls. We went back to the basics that have been tested over centuries. We like to think of our farm as whole rather than individual parts or portions.
Local.Supporting local farmers, producers, growers, business is important for a healthy economy. Local food should taste better; it should be harvested fresh and delivered sooner. Buying local makes us more responsible when we have to answer to our neighbors and friends, not to corporations.
Sustainable. We believe in sustainable farming. Our farm is an integrated system of plant and animal practices that can sustain itself with minimal inputs and the smallest negative impact. We commit to thinking long-term, placing quality over quantity, being the most efficient and using the least amount of nonrenewable resources.
We promise that our farm is built on these simple and sustainable practices. We support our local and regional economy and hope you will too. We hope to bring the highest quality products to your dinner table.
